Blog on The Lone Ranger and Toronto Fistfight in Heaven
I'm not really sure how to start a blog, but here it goes. This story is definitely easier to read than the story. I like how it uses slang. Sherman Alexie lived a sad life, not appreciating what a good girlfriend he had at the time. It seems like they might have eventually gotten back together, when she had called him at the end of the story, but I guess we'll never know since it is a fiction story.

The end of the story sucks. The author leaves you wondering whether or not they got back together, like you said. I also liked how you mentioned that Sherman didn't appreciate his girlfriend. It's safe to say that sometimes we all have a tendency to take those things that mean the most to us for granted.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with you, he really doesn't appreciate what a nice girlfriend he has. Maybe when they broke up is when he started to realize how much he actually missed her, loved her and wanted to get back together. Not knowing the ending is the mystery that the author gives us to wonder and make it our own.
