Blog #11 VA TECH
This past weekend my parents and I went to visit the campus of Va Tech.. I was surprised at how much I liked it there. As I posted earlier, I visited JMU already and was comparing the two schools. If I wasn't also looking at JMU then I would love to go to Va tech, but I really liked JMU. Va tech is a bigger campus and very cold, but the Hokie stone that makes up the college is very beautiful. I will transferring into he Dietetics program and both schools programs for that are really good.. I'm going to apply to both, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for JMU.

Blog #10 Boring.......//
Well we were suppose to write out 3rd essay with 1000 words. My topic was on love and how most people don't know how to express or show it towards the people that need it the most. Relationships end up destroyed, friendships are broken, and people are just left hurt. I compared it to the stories Everything Rises Must Converge and Fistfight in Tonto. You don't realize what you've lost until you can't get it back anymore. Just remember that if you aren't going to treat someone right then somebody else will.
Until next week.

Blog#9
Saturday evening I went to Kings Dominion's Haunt along with a group of friends. It was FREEZING. I had to sleep with a heating pad on my feet to get them unfrozen. As we were waiting in line for "The Doll House" we saw a couple ratchet people cut in line behind us. We told them to get back in line and of course, the said no. This girl was cursing us out and we told we were calling security. A couple minutes later security came and they kicked them out. I HATE it when people act their better than people when really their actually a piece of shit. That's what they get for cutting in line!

Blog #8/ visit to JMU
This past weekend I attended JMU'S open house. I fell absolutely in love with the campus. My original plan was to transfer to vsu and get into their dietetics program, but my parents know a couple of the professors there and they directed me to JMU or va tech. I plan on visiting va tech's open house in 3 weekends. JMU is almost half the size of va tech and I will most likely of there because I feel as if I will learn better in a class size of 30 compared to 300. I will be transferring into a dietetic program and continue my passion of becoming a registered dietitian.

Weekly Blog
Hello again. This week seems like it keeps dragging on. I turned in my analytical paper on Monday and did peer editing. It's helpful because our peers are just as smart if not smarter than us and can be helpful to our paper. This weekend I'm attending JMU'S open house for their dietetic program. I'm excited because I really want to go there. I'm also going to VAS Tech in three weeks to go to their open house as well. I'm just ready to get out of bland and love on with my career!

Blog #6
Well here I am doing my weekly blog for god 'ole English 102. This is the last class before fall break and Sweeney is seriously making us go to class in the rain! J/k but seriously. I really don't know what to blog about because I've done all my outings and we haven't read any new stories. We have an analytical paper about "The Glass Menagerie" due on Monday. That is what I will be doing on my break and enjoying the horrifying rain. I enjoy English class because we have a contract and can choose what grade we will get at the end of the semester

2nd Outing/Va Museum of Fine Arts
For my second outing I went to the Va Museum of Fine Arts and I brought my friend Justina along. It was my first time going to the museum and I was very impressed. It was very beautifully and wonderfully laid out. I enjoyed seeing the pop art as well as all the other different types of art they displayed. Everything was spaciousness displayed and very clean. I had a wonderful experience and enjoyed it.

Outing #1 Chesterfest
Today was the event of Chesterfest. Chesterfest is a community event for all the businesses in the area to promote themselves as well as have food, games, and bounce houses for kids. I took my boyfriend and we walked around and looked at the different vendors. Some of the vendors were scenty candles, Chester Fire Department, Sand Art, Soy Candles, Thirty-One, Kings Korner BBQ, and many more. It was nice to see a lot of the Chester residents there supporting the community. It reminded me a little kit of Hooray for Hopewell.

Peer Editing
Peer editing can seem monotonous at times but in the end it is helpful. Even though when we read our own papers it looks good to us, it can be hard to pick out our own errors. That's when peer editing comes into play. Our peers can help locate our mistakes especially grammer and punctuation. Plus it gets us out of talking about the stories we read!!

Monday tour of the library.
We toured the library this past Monday. One of the librarians showed us how to search the RBC library website for literary research. She also showed us how to use and move the stacks machine. I learned that Richard Bland has a good variety of books, research, and a helpful staff.
